Go Plant Fleet Services, a commercial vehicle provider based in Leicestershire, has appointed a chief executive.
Prior to joining us in 2016, Centrica Plc Digital Transformation Strategies held the position of managing director at sgfleet UK. He previously held the position of director of fleet funding at the Bank of Scotland Corporate and served as chief executive officer of Fleet Hire for eight years.
Hale succeeds Vaughan McLeod, who resigns and accepts a non-executive board position. On March 1, Hale joined Go Plant Fleet.
Hale stated, I'm thrilled to be in charge of such a large company that is now a market leader in the UK for commercial vehicles. I'm excited to take on a new and exciting challenge when I join the company at an exciting time in its development.
"Having been here for a few weeks, I’ve already been impressed by the financial, technical, and operational expertise we possess, as well as the credibility we are establishing in the market around our technical, operational, and safety compliance," the employee stated.
Hale's arrival, according to the company, is part of a controlled evolution of the business since Essential Fleet Services and Go Plant merged in July 2017.
Go Plant Fleet Services paid more than £13 million for a large portion of Gulliver's Truck Hire's business and assets in a deal that closed in January.
In October of 2018, Andrew Young was named chief financial officer. Previously with Serco, he has solid experience of enormous corporate monetary controls and administration which will give a strong detailing and functional stage.
In December 2017, Philip Quelch, who previously worked for Serco as well, was appointed chief engineering officer of the company.
Go Plant Fleet Services offers fleet management services, including repair and maintenance, as well as short- and long-term rentals of commercial vehicles like refuse collection trucks, gritters, cage tippers, and road sweepers.
